Born Sept 4, 1917, in Heber City, Utah, to Ray E. Dillman and Mildred Miles Dillman. Attended high school in Roosevelt, Utah and college at BYU and University of Utah from which he received a B.A. and a J.D.

Served an L.D.S. mission in the Eastern United States where he performed in the first Hill Cumorah Pageant. Served honorably as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Second World War in the Pacific Theater, and was among the first to land on the mainland of Japan at the end of the war.

Practiced Law in Roosevelt, Utah, in the firm of Dillman and Dillman where he also served as County Attorney for many years. Associated with the firm of Rawlings, Roberts, and Black in Salt Lake City for most of his career.

Held a number of political and civic positions including: County Chairman of the Republican Party; County Chairman of the March of Dimes; Member of the Utah State University Board of Directors; Vice President Roosevelt State Bank; and Director Commercial Bank of Utah;

Owned all or part of several businesses including: an automobile dealership; a jewelry store; a drug store; several construction companies; and numerous real estate and mineral investment companies.

Married LeJeune Helen Brixen, December 2, 1942. and remained happily married and much loved for sixty years until the time of his death. Fathered three sons, Drew, Ray, and Lane, and one daughter, Debra, who preceded him in death. His legacy includes 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2002 at Monument Park Ninth Ward, 1565 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive.
