Ila Dawn Marshall Reese, beloved wife, sister, stepmother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully July 5th after a long illness.
Ila was born Dec 31, 1935 in Salt Lake City to James and Nora Marshall. Married John W. Reese in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, who preceded her in death. Ila worked for many years and retired from the Salt Lake Board of Education. She was generous and loving and was always there for anyone who needed her.
Ila is survived by her sister, Norene A. Kirby; stepson, Steven Reese (Joni); five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews, who all called her "Auntie" and spent much of their time with her.
Ila dearly loved the children in her life and wanted them to have all she could give them. She never returned from a shopping trip without something for someone. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Jim, Billy Marshall; and sisters, Elsie Myers, Marjene Marshall.
We would like to thank the staff at Brighton Gardens for the loving care they gave Ila in the short time she was there.
Graveside services will be Tues. July 9, 11 a.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery. Family and friends may call Mon. July 8, 7-9 p.m. and Tues. July 9, 10-10:30 a.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple.
