Motion picture industry and Olympic filming activities added $141.6 million to state coffers in the 2001-02 fiscal year, up from $117 million from the previous year, the Utah Film Commission said.
Productions include 12 feature films, including New Line's "Austin Powers in Goldmember"; Paramount's yet-to-be-release "The Core"; the on-location regular TV series "Touched by an Angel"; five made-for-television movies or episodes of network series, including Pax's "It's A Miracle" and NBC's "Today;" and 111 commercials, print ads, documentaries, and music videos shot on location in Utah.
The current fiscal year's productions include Universal's "The Hulk," Annaugh Productions' second feature in Utah and Juab counties that will air on Showtime, the continuation of "Touched by an Angel" and WB's "Everwood."
