Salt Lake-based Eskay Corp., a subsidiary of Daifuku Co. Ltd., will change its name to SK Daifuku, saying it will better reflect its global market presence.

The change was announced last week at Eskay's new 75,000-square-foot headquarters in the Salt Lake International Center. It will take effect Oct. 1.

The company said the change will not result in any change in products, business direction, management, staff or customer service. The company will remain a subsidiary of Daifuku but retain its own board of directors, with a focus on the needs of the North American market.

Eskay has 219 employees, including 150 in Utah. The company serves as the North American arm of Daifuku's factory automation and distribution automation systems business. It designs, sells, installs and supports logistics systems for automated material handling in factory, distribution and cleanroom environments.
