Mae D. Stevenson, 82, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 26, 2002

Mae was born on May 20, 1920 to William and Edith Daniels of Ogden, Utah.

She married John "Jack" D. Stevenson on September 3, 1946 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

They raised four sons: Jerry, Rick, David and Alan.

Mae was a devoted wife and mother and spent her life beside her husband and sons running the family farm.

Mae was known for her quick wit and contagious sense of humor. She was a fantastic cook who could make fine meals from leftovers. She will be missed by close friends and family.

Mae was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; holding various positions of

responsibility; she especially loved her calling in the Primary where she served for over 26 years.

Surviving are her children, Jerry W. and Susan Stevenson, Rick L. Stevenson,

David D. Stevenson, all of

Layton; and Jon Alan and Jan Stevenson, Ogden.

Mae was blessed with 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Lee Daniels and his wife Louise, No. Ogden: her sister-in-law, Wanda Stevenson, Layton; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Milt and Mary Madsen, Albuquerque, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Edith Warren Daniels, her sister, Bernice Whitney, sister-in-law, Beth Watt, brother-in-law, George Stevenson and her husband, Jack D. Stevenson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
