Myron "Lee" Simpson, 55, passed away Monday, August 26, 2002 after a long chronic illness.

Lee was born in Gillette, WY on June 16, 1947 to George Simpson and Virginia Eldredge. At a young age he moved to Southern California where he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Leslie Dean "Pop" Irwin. He attended Poway High School, then received his bachelors and masters degree in psychology from California Lutheran College, and his Ph.D. from California Western University.

His greatest pride was his sons, and his greatest joy was his wife, all of whom he loved with his heart and soul. He loved sports of every kind and was one of the most generous people that ever lived.

Lee left behind his wife, Becky; and his four beloved sons, Travis, Timothy, Tyler, and Marcus; his most loved mother and stepfather, Virginia and Leslie Dean Irwin; sisters, Alice (Noel) Stratch, Edna (Mark) Hendryx, Jean (Ron) Harmon, Marjorie Field; sister-in-law, Debra Simpson; and many beloved in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, George R. Simpson; and brother, George R. Simpson, Jr.

Funeral services Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Winder West Stake Center, 1250 East 4530 South. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, and Friday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
