Tola Broderick Newman, age 88, died August 28, 2002 in Taylorsville, Utah.
Born December 9, 1913 in Delta, Utah, third of 11 children of Alfred L. and Virgie Searle Broderick. Married Arvid "Hy" Newman July 8, 1930 in Eureka, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an International Aesthetician and devoted her life to Elysee Skin Care. She retired from civil service as supervisor of the clothing sales store. Active member of the LDS Church where she held many positions in Primary and Relief Society and was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survived by daughters, Linda R. Marshall, Wisconsin; Vicki (John) Rose, Maryland; three grandchildren, John Marshall, Wisconsin; Tifini Burge, Maryland; Wylie (Lisa) Burge, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Jadyn and Ryan Marshall, Wisconsin; Scout and Reese Burge, Virginia; niece/adopted daughter, Beverly (Bob) Massey, California; brother, Dean (Janice) Broderick, Utah; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Marshall, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by husband, Arvid "Hy" Newman; daughter, Dwanna Lee; grandson, James E. Marshall.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Tola exemplified her name, "To Own Loveliness Always".
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 2, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call Sunday, 6-8:00 p.m. and Monday, 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Provo City Cemetery.
