Phyllis Tiffany Ely, 89, passed away 1 September, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah from causes incident to age.

Phyllis was born 12 Dec 1912 in Salem, UT to Zenos William Tiffany and Mary Catherine Olsen Tiffany. She was born and raised on a farm in Salem. She at-tended Salem School and Span-ish Fork High School.

Phyllis married Irvin Lafayette Ely 17 April 1935 in Elberta, UT. He preceded her in death March 6 1983. Later she was endowed in the Provo LDS Temple and sealed to her husband.

Phyllis lived in Elberta, UT and in Payson, UT. She loved camping, cooking, crocheting, and being with her family. She worked as a school lunch cook, clerk in Salem Post Office and as postmistress in the Salem Post Office. Phyllis was a member of the LDS church and served in various positions including extraction missionary in the Family History Program.

Phyllis is survived by children, Glade (Sherry) Ely, Salt Lake City, Blair (Tony) Ely, Mapleton, Utah, Karen (Lee) Warren, Draper, UT; 13 grand-children, 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews who all loved her dearly.

Services to be Wed. Sept 4, 2002, 12 noon, Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S. A viewing will be held for friends and family one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment, Payson City Cemetery, at approximately 2 p.m.
