MIDWAY, UT <! > - Maxine Luke Welch Milliner, age 80, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2003, in the Timpanogos Hospital, Orem, Utah.
Born Oct 5, 1922 the daughter of Wallace and Clara Bentley Luke, Midway, UT. She married Robert "Bob" James Welch I at the age of 16 and they were together for 40 years until his death in 1979. Married William Trevor Milliner in 1983 until his death in 1991. Maxine lived in Midway most of her life, but also lived in Nebraska for a while as well as Vallejo, CA where she was a partner in a candy company with Eileen and Frank. Other experiences in Maxine's life included work with the Utah State Legislature, as she was very interested in politics. She also worked as an office manager at the Homestead, an office accountant at the Kamas Telephone Co., office manager for Kamas Lumber Co. and many other endeavors. Maxine enjoyed sports, cooking, the outdoors and as a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she loved going to the temple.
Survived by brother, Gary Luke; grandchildren, Ryan C. Welch, Tiffany A. Welch, Robert Hall, Stephanie Hall, Amy Hall; stepdaughter, Bonnie Jacobsen; stepson, Bill Milliner; daughters-in-law, Teresita C. Welch, Sharlene Hall; brother-in-law, Shirm Milliner; sisters-in-law, Shanna Van Wagoner, Shirley Hardman; Milliner step-grandchildren, Alan, Shelly, Jean, David, Robert, Tracy, Cindy, Cathy, Cody, Carol Ann; nephews, Denny Mathews, Greg Mathews, Jason Luke, Jeff Luke; and nieces, Janet Luke, Janeane Kenworthy.
Services will be Wed. Jan 29, 2003 2 p.m. Midway LDS 4th Ward Church, 165 N. Center St, Midway. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 N. Main St, Heber City and Wed. 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the LDS Church. Interment, Midway Cemetery.
