OREM — Survivors of domestic abuse can participate in the Clothesline Project.

At the event, participants are asked to draw feelings about abuse on a T-shirt.

Beginning today at 8 a.m., the shirts will be on display for three days at Utah Valley State College.

The event is sponsored by UVSC's Gender Equity Center in an effort to raise awareness about domestic violence and to join together local survivors.

"It's a poignant way of demonstrating the feelings of victims," said UVSC spokesman Derek Hall "The things that are written on the shirts — some are formal and some are cries of desperation — It's very moving."
