1955 ~ 2003
Peggy McMillan Richards, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away at her home in Farmington on November 12, 2003, after a valiant fight with cancer.
She was born June 18, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Andrew Deloy and Janice Openshaw McMillan. She grew up in Murray and Provo, graduating from Murray High School. Following high school, she earned an Associate Degree from LDS Business College. During the following years, she was blessed to be able to use her skills and abilities in a number of situations, most recently working for Wasatch Energy. Peggy married her best friend and eternal companion, Lynn Howard Richards, on February 13, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their family was blessed with two wonderful sons, Jeff and Greg, who brought much joy to her life. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in a number of positions through the years, where her example and spirit provided a positive influence for many. She especially enjoyed her service in the Primary and Relief Society organizations, most recently serving as Relief Society President, until her illness necessitated her release. Peggy made her home a wonderful and pleasant place to be because of her beautiful and cheerful personality. Even though she will be greatly missed, her influence and spirit will continue to be felt by those who were blessed to know her. Special thanks to IHC Hospice Services for their care during the last difficult months of Peggy's life.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Lynn, and two sons, Jeff and Greg; mother, Janice O.
