Prosecutors have charged a man in connection with an Oct. 14 shooting death at a Kimball Junction nightclub.
Finau Tukuafu, 25, was charged with murder, a first-degree felony, and riot, a third-degree felony, in 3rd District Court, records show.
Kautoke Tangitau, 30, was shot and killed at Club Suede during a concert of South African reggae artist Lucky Dube. Tangitau was affiliated with a gang, which may have had a confrontation with members of a rival gang that night, according to the Salt Lake Valley Metro Gang Unit, which assisted in the case.
On Oct. 18, the Summit County Sheriff's Office arrested two men in the East Millcreek area of Salt Lake County for investigation of riot. The sheriff's office has not stated whether those men have been charged
