1916 ~ 2003
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on November 24, 2003.
She was born October 3, 1916 in Lyman, Wyoming to Celestia Irene Twitchell, and Orin Leo Searle. She married Raymond E. Erickson on June 1, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. They celebrated 67 years of marriage on June 1, 2003.
She was an active member of the LDS church, serving for many years at the Salt Lake Temple. She was also a volunteer at the LDS Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Douglas Camp and worked for many years as a lighting consultant at United Electric.
Margaret enjoyed traveling, the arts, handwork and flowers, but most of all loved being with her family.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband and caregiver Raymond; daughters Marla Ray Carlisle (Allen), Susan Sedgwick (Dean) and son Milton Erickson (Jean); brothers Gale, Philo, and Bill Searle; sisters, Nona Hess and Velva Terry; 13 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren also survive her. Her parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one grandson preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Salt Lake Butler Stake Center, 7035 Nutree Drive (3540 East Fort Union Blvd.) Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to the services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
