OREM — More than 50 Navajo rugs will be on exhibit at the Utah Valley State College Woodbury Art Museum in the University Mall from Dec. 12 to Jan. 31. A special reception will be held tonight from 6 to 8:30. The exhibit includes cradleboards, a loom, traditional clothing, hand-on weaving and spinning stations, and pottery.
The collection comes from the late Anthony "Tony" Taylor who donated it to the Utah Museum of Natural History.
The Woodbury museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with extended hours on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is located with an outside entrance between The Gap and Nordstrom.
