1958 ~ 2003
On the night of December 6, 2003 God reached out and took one of his angels back into his arms.
Born September 17, 1958 in Indianapolis, IN, raised in Salt Lake City. The daughter of Richard P. and Judith L. Golightly. Married her partner for life, Earl Lynn Boyer, October 1 1976. In 1983 after the birth of their daughter, Marissa Erin, the family moved to Cedar City, UT, where they have lived for 20 years. She worked 18 years for Consolidated Freightways reaching the position of Terminal Supervisor. Leslie took great pride in her job and worked tirelessly to build the business. Able to do everything except drive the trucks. She combined the grace and charm of a diplomat with the mouth of a Teamster. She truly loved her job and the people she worked with. Leslie always put the needs of others before herself, helping friends and strangers alike. Her home was the Kool-Aid house usually filled with Marissa's friends all of whom called her Mom. She loved animals and the outdoors. Most of her pets were strays and she spent many hours on the porch with her hummingbirds. Leslie touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving this world a better, although emptier place for those of us behind.
Survived by husband Earl and daughter Marissa, her parents, Dick and Judy, sister Lisa (Jeff) Pitts, brothers, Robert (Judie) Golightly, Ryan (Maurine) Golightly, Jeff (Corrie) Golightly, grandmothers, Hazel Broadhead and Dora Golightly, nine nieces, seven nephews, her aunts and uncles, mother-in-law Helen Boyer and her family, Gayle (Rod) Andrews, Cathy (Dan) Davis, Mitchel (Angela) Boyer.
