1912 ~ 2004

Ana Vaioleti Takuvaka, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Orem, December 15, 2003.

She was born July 8, 1912 in Nukuleka, Tongatapu, Tonga, a daughter of Sione Muli Langi and Pelenaise Moala. She married Sione Vaioleti Takuvaka in 1934 in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga.

Ana was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served three years with her husband on a mission for the Church in Fo'ui and Nakolo.

Survivors include her children: Finau Valikoula, Sione Takuvaka, 'Ofa Fanguna, Siale Kolomalu, Penisimani Takuvaka, 'Aselika Lolohea, "Ofa Etina Taani, and Pelenaise Takapu.

She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sione Vaioleti Takuvaka and her children, 'Ana Fakaata, Suliana, Sisifa and Loseana.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Orem 8th Ward chapel, 400 North 400 East in Orem. A visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State Street, Orem, and also Tuesday, one hour prior to the services.
