Vera Edith Wynne Halbert, age 88, passed away December 27, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born January 30, 1915 in Ida, Louisiana, daughter of Joseph McJunkin and Una Edith Sandlin Wynne. Married Arnold Lewis Halbert, January 12, 1935 in Mooringsport, Louisiana; solemnized June 27, 1949 in the Mesa Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church and dearly loved the gospel of Jesus Christ all of her life. She chose to be a living example of her beliefs. She served in every ward calling with joy and happiness. She has awaited this day with great anticipation and we rejoice with her.
Survived by son, Michael Lee (Kelly), Schaumburg, IL; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband; three brother; four sisters; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wed., 12:00 noon at the Hunter 18th Ward, 3737 South 5600 West. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
