David Leonard Bingham 54, of Salt Lake City UT and formerly of Idaho Falls, died December 2nd 2003 at his home in Salt Lake.
He was born September 20th, 1949 in Coalville Utah to Leonard John Bingham M.D., and Helen Williams Bingham. David grew up in Idaho Falls where he attended Idaho Falls High School and graduated Skyline High School in 1967.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to Northern California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Church College of Hawaii, now BYU-Hawaii and was the first Haoli (Caucasion) to dance at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Oahu, Hawaii.
David started and owned Mother Earth Floral, and then moved to Salt Lake City where he was the manager of Rio Grande Restaurant.
David was survived by his parents Leonard John Bingham M.D. and Helen Bingham of St. George Utah; a Brother, Jeff Bingham of Menassas, VA; sisters: Susan B. Whittle (Trent) of Orem, UT; Kathy Bingham (Carter) of Idaho Falls; three Nephews: Brooke Bingham, John Whittle and Ryan Bingham, four nieces: Melinda Sudweeks, Stacey Cornaby, Robin Gordon, and Blaire Bingham. David was preceded in death by a brother John W. Bingham, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5th at the Salt Lake City 33rd Ward LDS Church. Salt Lake Central Stake 453 So. 11th E. (on corner of 11th E. and 5th So.)
Funeral Services will be Saturday Dec. 6th, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary 2100 1st in Idaho Falls with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
