Rita Florence Anderson Burningham, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend, passed away early on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 in her home in Orem, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. Her death was due to natural causes. She was 77 years of age.

Rita was a loving, devoted mother and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She touched the lives of many in countless ways with the love she always shared. She enjoyed and excelled in doing sewing and needlework. She was privileged to provide two altar cloths for the new Mount Timpanogos Temple.

Born in Provo, Utah on March 16, 1926, Rita was raised in Mt. Pleasant, Utah by parents Marvin Mads Anderson and Florence Eleanor DeMille Anderson. She was married and sealed to Keith Pharon Burningham on July 23, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple. They resided in Orem, Utah and raised six children. Rita is survived by her husband, Keith Pharon Burningham; and children: Joel Keith Burningham (Kathy), Susan Rita Hall, Danny Marvin Burningham (Linda), Kelly Pharon Burningham, Gil Paul Burningham (Cammy),and Kris Ann Sherman (Paul). Rita was grandmother to 14 grandchildren and eight great-grand-children, whom she loved very much. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., in the Orchard Fourth Ward Chapel, 670 E. 800 North in Orem, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. A viewing for friends and family will also be held Friday, December 5th from 6-8 p.m. in the Orchard Fourth Ward Chapel, 670 E. 800 North in Orem.

Services will be under the direction of Berg Mortuary. Burial will be in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens, 1000 N. 400 E., Orem.
