She was the 11th of 12 children including Archibald (Iva Pearl Pritchett), Albert Earl (Cleo Olson), John Eldore, Helena Orton (Robert Ernest), Agnes Fern Garn (Jacob Edwin), Anna Nivian, Selma Sanderson (Golden G.), Thomas Rees (Alta Maurine Hanson), and three siblings deceased in infancy, Bert, Maud Georgina and Andrew Reed.

Her indomitable spirit, intact to the end, was held precious by all who knew her. The earthly tests of worthiness were met by expression of her great faith, hope, charity and love. She knew nothing else. Faith in God was never questioned and often proffered. Her vision of life was always one of hope for that which benefits others, always believing that she was blessed with all she needed and more. Her charity was unmatched and she gave all she had and could. Her enormous capacity to love every single second was bestowed on all those who knew her. Her Norwegian, Danish and Scottish heritage defined her and infected all who came into her presence. Her joy and laughter defined her and improved the lives of all of us. Never judgmental, she looked at the world and all those she knew as equals in her sight and loved each and every one the same as God commands. She was a true child of God and an example of how we should all live our lives.

A special thanks for the loving care she was given these past months by the exceptional and compassionate staff at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Tooele, where she passed on.

She will be remembered and eulogized at services under the direction of and at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center, Provo, Utah, on Monday, February 3, 2003, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Fairview, Utah cemetery following the funeral. A celebration of her life will be at her Fairview Madsen Family Homestead at 156 S., First West Street, Fairview, Utah, that afternoon.
