Catherine Fehr, 5, whose great grandfather, David K. Edwards, built the Villa Theatre on Highland Drive, participates in the Utah Heritage Foundation action alert rally Saturday. Participants signed a petition calling for the preservation of the Salt Lake landmark, which is scheduled to close after a final show Tuesday. The group says the theater, opened in 1949, is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
