LaRue Rowley Donaldson Seamons, age 87, passed away March 8, 2003 at The Stratford at Draper. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her family.

LaRue was born April 4, 1915 in Spring Glen, Utah to Silas and Lucretia Anderson Rowley. She attended school in Carbon County and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1937. Following graduation she taught school in Carbon County and Salt Lake City. She retired from teaching in 1980 having spent the last 28 years at Madison Elementary School in Granite School District.

LaRue married John Edmund Donaldson in 1948; later divorced. Married Woodrow Leigh Seamons in 1963; later divorced.

LaRue was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many callings throughout her life. LaRue was a hard worker and enjoyed her career, oil painting, ceramics, playing the piano, and traveling. LaRue was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Carbonite Ladies, and Delta Kappa Gamma (Nu Chapter).

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Terry Turville; her grandchildren, David (Nicole) Turville and Laura (Ruben) Lund. She is also survived by her sister, Beth (Parley) Baxter, her brothers, Dean and Grant (Grietje) Rowley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her younger sister Edith Hunter Morgan; and sister-in-law, Tina Rowley.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Stratford at Draper, particularly Steve Gillett and Kris Espinoza for their dedicated care; and Yolanda at CareSource Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15th at 12 noon, in the Brookshire Ward chapel, 3487 South 1300 East

in Salt Lake City. Friends may call Saturday at the church, from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East. Arrangements under the direction of Warenski Funeral Home, American Fork, Utah.
