A Clearfield woman admitted Tuesday to taking pornographic pictures of her two young daughters, saying she only did so at her husband's request.
"I know what I done was wrong, and I'll never forgive myself for it," Dee Dee Williams said before entering guilty pleas to two counts of sexual exploitation of children.
Williams, 31, said her husband convinced her to e-mail sexually explicit photographs of her 7- and 9-year-old daughters to him in Korea. Paul Jeffery Williams, a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, was stationed at Korea's Osan Air Base.
When her husband returned home on leave, Dee Dee Williams said he then "convinced me to participate in an incident that I am not proud of."
The Williamses were arrested in April 2001 when a woman living in their home discovered the images on the couple's computer.
In court Tuesday, Dee Dee Williams called her daughters "the most precious things in my life" and said she knew she would never see them again.
The Deseret News has not previously named the couple, who have been in custody since April, to avoid identifying the children. Prosecutors believe that is no longer a concern because the girls are now living with relatives out of state.
Paul Jeffery Williams, the children's stepfather, pleaded guilty last month to six counts of sexual exploitation of children. He faces at least 24 years in prison when he is sentenced on July 10.
He has also pleaded guilty in state court to three first-degree felonies and faces a 15-to-life prison sentence.
Dee Dee Williams faces at least 10 years behind bars on each count at her Aug. 12 sentencing. She is also charged with multiple felonies in Davis County's 2nd District Court but has entered not-guilty pleas there.
