- Helene Mitchell Robertson passed away peacefully April 11, 2003.

She was born April 2, 1914 in Cache Junction, UT to Milton Reuben and Helene Behnken Mitchell. After graduating from Logan High School, she spent several years in Hamburg, Germany with her maternal grandparents, leaving with the last group of LDS missionaries, just before World War II broke out in Europe. She returned to Salt Lake City where she started work at the Utah Woolen Mills using her skills as a seamstress. She met her husband, James H. Robertson, at a dance at the Coconut Grove after the war. They were married Aug 26, 1946 in Pinedale, WY. They made their home in Bountiful and raised four daughters.

Helene's sewing talents were greatly appreciated as she not only sewed countless dresses for school and dances, but also taught her daughters to sew. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was an excellent homemaker and nothing delighted her family more than one of her homemade pies. She was never too busy to be supportive of all the activities her family enjoyed. She camped and didn't complain about all the extra work that was involved with taking care of babies and cooking in the out-of-doors. She went to countless high school and college activities. But her greatest service, was the many hours she spent in support of her youngest daughter, Mary. She was named as an "Outstanding Parent Volunteer" at Monte Vista School. She also made many costumes for Mary to wear in the musical programs the "Special Mutual" put on every year.

She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She loved serving as a visiting teacher and touched the lives of many in the Bountiful 11th Ward. She was a long-term church librarian, serving both Primary and the Sunday School. As a family, we are grateful for having such a wonderful example of faith and service to guide us. We always knew we were loved.
