Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed on peacefully April 18, 2003 in St. George, Utah.
Franklin Thomas Christian Schnitker was born April 17, 1916 in Ft Wayne, IN the son of Frank W. and Mabel Florence Schnitker. After the death of his father in 1917, Frank and his mother moved to Los Angeles. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1934. He attended Los Angeles Junior College the USC School of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, he was employed as a drug representative for E.R. Squibb & Son Pharmaceutical and then as a pharmacist in California and Utah.
He married Phyllis Slack July 11, 1940 in Salt Lake City. Together they owned and operated Brigham Street Pharmacy, South Temple, for 27 years. Frank loved golf and was a charter member of Willow Creek Country Club. After Phyllis' death, he moved to St George, UT. He was a devoted member of Calvary Chapel.
Survived by his son, Todd, and his wife, Jeri; daughter, Sandra Larsen, and her husband, Rod; grandchildren, Shane Harmon, Greg Schnitker, Kim Shore (husband, Ren), Shauna DuPont (husband, Jeff); and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Rich, Jessika Shore, James, Doug DuPont.
A Family and Friends Gathering will be Tues. April 22, 4-6 p.m. Metcalf Mortuary, St. George, UT. In Salt Lake City, friends and family may pay their respects at Wasatch Lawn Garden of the Lilies Mausoleum, 3401 S. Highland Dr, Thurs. April 24, 10 a.m.-12 noon.
