Dell Christensen, 84, departed his earthly home to be with his eternal sweetheart, Monday, April 28, 2003 of natural causes in Spanish Fork, Utah.

He was born December 29, 1918 in Lake Shore, Utah to George William and Elizabeth Thomas Christensen. His mother died of the flu epidemic in January of 1919 and he was raised by his uncle, Albert Christensen and grandmother, Catherine Christensen from the age of nine days. He was married to Mary Grace Barney on December 29, 1938. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on November 26, 1957.

He was educated in the Spanish Fork school system. He was a veteran of World War II and active in the American Legion. He retired from Geneva Steel after 32 years. He took great pride in one of the finest gardens, especially his flowers, in Spanish Fork for many years. He will be missed at many sporting events as he supported his children and grandchildren for many years.

Dell is survived by three sons: Jerry Dell (Gloria) of Spanish Fork, Glen M. (Shirley) of Spanish Fork, Scott B. of Orem; one daughter, Darla Richins (Royes) of Spanish Fork; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Melba Christensen. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sweetheart, six brothers, and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 18 th

Ward Chapel, 870 East Canyon Road. Friends and family may call at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, on Thursday evening, May 1, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery with full military rites.
