Salt Lake's three most-listened-to morning teams — "Grant and Amanda" of KSL, "Kerry, Bill and Gina" of KXRK and "Dain and Peggy" of KSFI — gained even more popular over the past three months.

According to the latest Arbitron ratings, the winter book of 2003, Grant Nielsen and Amanda Dickson of KSL significantly increased their audience, once again leading the all-age (12-plus) and the adult (25-54) group ratings. They increased their audience by 0.5 percent and 1.0 percent respectively, undoubtedly aided by news of the war with Iraq and the return of Elizabeth Smart.

"The Radio From Hell" show with Kerry Jackson, Bill Allred and Gina Barberi on "X-96" jumped from an 8.4 percent share last book, among young adults, age 18-34, to 10.2 percent. They also improved 1.2 percent in the age 12-plus category.

Dain Craig and Peggy Ijams on "FM-100" improved from 7.0 percent to 8.5 percent among listeners, age 25-54, to keeping a firm hold on second place. They also gained 0.9 percent to remain at second in the age 12-plus category.

Jon Carter on KRSP also managed to more than double his audience in the age 18-34 group, going from 2.6 to a third-place 6.2 percent.
