CENTERVILLE — Citizens for Families, a grass-roots group that urges businesses to cover magazines and other items deemed inappropriate for children, has honored five area businesses that have done a particularly good job of covering up certain magazines on display.
The group honored Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Walgreen's, Common Cents and 7-Eleven.
"We're not trying to prevent access, just cover things that are not appropriate so children at a young age don't have to deal with sexual images they're not prepared to deal with," Patrice Dickson, first vice president of Citizens for Families, said.
