"Together Again"
Our loving mother and grandmother, Verbena Mary Carpenter Fox, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003 at her home in Spanish Fork. She was 87.
She was born May 31, 1916 in Robertson, WY to Raymond Lindzey and Verbena Mary Stringer Carpenter. She married Junior Roy Fox Oct 20, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug 16, 1995. Verbena received her education in Evanston, WY. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed cake decorating and china painting. She liked working on all types of handicrafts.
Verbena was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities, including Relief Society President and Primary President.
She is survived by her 11 children, Annie (Mark) Nelson of Spanish Fork, Joseph (Linda) Fox of Spanish Fork, Kenneth (Connie) Fox of Golden Valley, AZ, Allen (Pat) Fox of Riverside, CA, Niles (Patricia) Fox of McRae, GA, Paul (Eveline) Fox of Munford, TN, Ruth Fox of San Diego, CA, Lucille (Rodney) Holmes of Orem, Louise (Alan) Abbott of Spanish Fork, Merle (Jaynee) Fox of Paramount, CA, Larry (Donna Jean) Fox of Palmyra; 46 grandchildren and 30 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be Wed. June 11, 2003, 10 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 14th Ward Chapel, 1750 E. 750 S. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 S. Main, Spanish Fork, and at the church Wed. 8:45-9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
