PROVO — Traffic in Provo Canyon was stopped for more than two hours Wednesday morning after a tanker truck carrying gasoline rolled over about four miles up the canyon.

No one was hurt in the accident, but because the truck was carrying liquid natural gas, which is very flammable, police closed both lanes until the truck could be removed.

After efforts to transfer the natural gas to another tanker failed, the truck was hauled away and the lanes reopened.

Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Doug McCleve said the driver of the truck was traveling at a reasonable speed as he pulled to the side of the road and the truck rolled.
