Every Friday I look forward to reading Lynn Arave's Deseret News column about radio stations.
This past week, Lynn described the ratings of Salt Lake AM and FM stations. Besides KSL, only one other station on the AM dial was listed among the 20 leading stations in our area. Congratulations to KNRS, which has an even more impressive ranking when you consider that it is one of the top five!
Sure, KNRS AM-570 has the famous Rush and the famous Dr. Laura. However, the radio audience begins earlier and apparently builds via the morning show hosted by an import from New York, Bob Lonsberry. He has a sensible approach to politics, local news, human interest and unashamed comments and tie-ins about Utah and the Mormon culture.
