1923 ~ 2003
Having completed her earthly mission on June 15, 2003, Olive Elaine Tucker Walker, age 79, left her beloved family. After a courageous battle with cancer, Olive bade farewell to her companion of 60 years and her daughter Debbie to join her son, parents, brothers and sisters on the other side of the veil.
Her death was like her birth. As her parents, six sisters and four brothers welcomed her arrival on earth, her return to her heavenly home has been anticipated by those who have passed on before.
Olive was born on December 9, 1923 to George Warren and Keziah Mower Tucker in Provo, Utah. All her life she was the cherished 'baby' of the family.
Olive was raised and received formal education in Provo, Utah.
Olive married her sweetheart Brady W. Walker, November 24, 1943 during his army furlough. Their
marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Olive and Brady were blessed with two children:
Michael who is deceased and Debbie (Anderson).
Olive worked at the Utah Employment Office, Geneva Steel, and was a secretary for 31 years for the Alpine School District.
Olive was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to read and teach the scriptures. She believed and lived the principle that "Our love for God is manifest in the way we treat
others."
For many years, Olive has devoted herself to doing genealogies, writing up family histories and producing books for each of her siblings.
The four years Olive was temple worker at the Timpanogos Temple. She so loved all she worked with in the temple.
Her legacy was her generous and kind heart. She could strike up a friendship in ten minutes and keep it forever. Friendships grew for her as spontaneously as did the beautiful flowers in her yard. She always surrounded herself with beauty.
Olive is survived by her husband Brady and daughter Debbie Anderson (Carl); grandchildren: Heather Harness (Boone), Annie Fonville (T.J.), Bodi Anderson (Amanda), Brady Anderson (Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission), Blake, Augusta, Jake Anderson, six great-grandchildren, a sister Maxine T. Wight of Idaho Falls, Idaho, numerous nieces and nephews and one puppy Binky.
