1931~2003

Fotulafai Matuauto passed away on June 5, 2003 in West Valley City.

He was born June 19, 1931 in Tapuele'ele, Samoa, to Faaoso Matuauto and Sose Te'o. He married Aipopo Ama on April 24, 1987 in Siusega, Samoa. Fotulafai was a member of the L.D.S. Church. He was a man of faith who was devoted to his family.

He is survived by his loving wife; son, Puatua (Amelia) Matuauto of West Valley City; daughters, Sose, Sipuao and Emma of West Valley City; sisters, Lupe of California, Talaave of Hawaii, and Sipuao of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchilden, Demetrius and Tanisha. Preceded in death by his first wife, Faalili Titipa; son, John Phillip Hanks; parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter Stake Center, 3737 South 5600 West. The family will receive friends at a viewing on Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the Stake Center on Monday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
