"Mimi"1925 ~ 2003

Louise Richards Judd, 78, our loving "Mimi," mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away July 20, 2003 in Salt Lake City as a result of complications incident to breast cancer.

She was born March 30, 1925 in Salt Lake City, UT to Franklin D. and Helen Kearns Richards.

Attended East High School and graduated from the University of Maryland.

In 1950 she married Robert Lund ("Bart") Judd in the Salt Lake Temple, and they established their home under the shadow of Mt. Olympus.

In 1974, following an extended struggle with leukemia through which Louise cared for him, Robert passed away.

In the years that followed, Louise focused her love and time on her family, friends, and wonderful friend and companion, Richard R. Steiner.

Above all, Louise was known to her family and friends as a woman of warmth, unconditional love and strength.

Her open heart, positive nature and sense of genuine caring (not to mention her Texas Fudge Cake and homemade ice cream) drew others to her and created lasting bonds of love and friendship.

She loved her home nestled within the scrub oak of Mt. Olympus Cove, and the cabin in Brighton surrounded by pine, aspen, and the scenes of her childhood and summer days with her children and Bart.

She passed this love and these sweet memories on to her children and grandchildren.

She loved and lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Her generosity, laughter, hugs and kisses will be missed.
