Tracy Aviary, 589 E. 1300 South, will honor the nation's heroes today with a unique celebration featuring eagles, majestic birds that have come to symbolize our country. On "Eagle Day," visitors can learn about bald and golden eagles at education booths and bird shows.
At the end of each bird show, bird trainers will remain on stage and offer visitors the rare opportunity to get their photos taken next to an eagle. Photo opportunities with the eagles will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for a nominal fee.
Bird show times are at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Eagle photo opportunities will be available for 20 minutes following each show.
In honor of the people working to keep our country safe, the aviary will offer free admission to all retired and active duty U.S. military members, firefighters and police officers on Eagle Day. Members of these organizations must show I.D. to gain free admittance.
