The First Presidency has called new presidents for the Hermosillo Mexico, Las Vegas Nevada, Palmyra New York and Redlands California temples:

Albert M Farnsworth, 74, Crossroads Park Ward, Gilbert Arizona Greenfield Stake, called as president of the Hermosillo Mexico Temple, succeeding President Hector Ceballos Luzanilla. President Farnsworth's wife, Constance Gertrude Ackerman Farnsworth, will serve as temple matron. President Farnsworth served as mission president, temple president's counselor, stake president's counselor and bishop. He is a retired farmer. He was born in Colonia Garcia, Mexico, to William Jefferson and Mary Margaret McGinty Farnsworth.

Sister Farnsworth is a former assistant temple matron, Primary and Relief Society president, and served with her husband when he was mission president. She was born in Santa Monica, Calif., to Edwin Lloyd and Lillian Frances Pettit Ackerman.


Frank Frederick Dixon, 70, Eldorado 1st Ward, Las Vegas Nevada Highland Hills Stake, called as president of the Las Vegas Nevada Temple, succeeding President Don L. Christensen, who died July 23, 2003. President Dixon's wife, Nancy Ann Stapley Dixon, will serve as temple matron. President Dixon, first counselor in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple presidency, served as stake president, regional welfare agent, bishop and bishop's counselor. He is a retired school administrator and Church physical facilities manager. He was born in Gooding, Idaho, to Harvey W. and Persis Alice Tinker Dixon.

Sister Dixon is a former Relief Society president, stake name extraction leader, Young Women leader and music director. She was born in Las Vegas, Nev., to John Laurence and Helen Mikesell Stapley.

Howard Cannon Sharp, 78, Monument Park 17th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park North Stake, called as president of the Palmyra New York Temple, succeeding President Dale S. Dallon. President Sharp's wife, Marjorie Taylor Sharp, will serve as temple matron. A patriarch, President Sharp is a former temple president's counselor, mission president, high councilor and bishop's counselor. He is a retired physician. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ira B. and Lois Morris Cannon Sharp.

Sister Sharp is a former assistant to the matron of the Salt Lake Temple, stake Relief Society president, temple ordinance worker and humanitarian services missionary with her husband. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to A. LeRoy and Rachel Smith Taylor.


Rodney Jay Nelson, 66, Chino Oaks Ward, Chino California Stake, called as president of the Redlands California Temple, which will be dedicated Sept. 14. President Nelson's wife, Arleen Edwards Nelson, will serve as temple matron. President Nelson served in a temple presidency, and as stake president's counselor, high councilor and bishop. He is a retired public school administrator and teacher. He was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Arta Vaughn and Flora Farnes Nelson.

Sister Nelson is a former assistant temple matron, Relief Society and Young Women president and seminary teacher. She was born in Manderfield, Utah, to Jess Thello and Elizabeth LaPriel Edwards.
