Forrest Paul Smith, 60, of Pleasant Grove, former longtime resident of Susanville, CA; passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 31, 2003 of causes incident to cancer.
He was born July 24, 1943 in Susanville, CA to Forrest Vernon and Elaine Fenton Smith. He married Betty Kay Branson on February 14, 1965 in Reno, NV. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland LDS
Temple.
Paul moved to Pleasant Grove with his family in 1997 to work for Niels Fugal & Sons. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. His family and friends will dearly miss him.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Pleasant Grove; four children: Shari (Kirk) Reiniger, Calgary, Canada; Paula Hendricks, Brad Smith, and Kara Smith, all of Pleasant Grove; five grandchildren; mother, Elaine Smith, Susanville, CA; sister, Patricia, and brother, Tom, both of Susanville.
Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Memorial services will be held later in the week in Susanville, CA.
