1940 ~ 2003
Edward M. Billings passed away August 22, 2003 at his home in Boise, ID following a long battle with emphysema.
Ed was born in Salt Lake City, UT Feb 12, 1940 to Florence and Mervin Billings. He attended school and was reared in Salt Lake City. He married Karen Stewart and they had two children, Cory and Connie. He married Barbara Carlisle April 26, 1996.
Ed worked 34 years for the Union Pacific Railroad, first as a brakeman, then as a conductor. He retired in 1999.
He owned and operated Club 48, Murray, UT for 17 years. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. His favorite place was Costa Rica. He loved talking football with his best friend, Jim.
Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Cory; daughter, Connie; stepsons, Michael Mullin (Angela), Thomas Mullin (Shantel), Scott Carlisle; stepdaughter, Amber Carlisle; grandchildren, Ryan, Tasia, Jace, Casey, Trevor, Michelle, Amanda, Jeffrey; brother, Kelley; sisters, Geraldine Eccles, Marilyn (Jay) Fellows; numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
At Ed's request, no services will be held, but rather a celebration of his life at Club 48, 16 W. 4800 S, Murray, UT Wed. Aug 27, 7-9 p.m.
