Christine Axelgard Greenwood, age 87, passed away after a short illness August 8, 2003.
She was born in Gainsville, TX Nov 11, 1915. She was one of seven children of Karen Marie Hall and Christian Theusen Axelgard.
She graduated from Carbon High School. 1934. She graduated from the St. Marks School of Nursing, May, 1937. She served in the military as a nurse at Bushnell Hospital during World War II. She married Allen Greenwood Oct 1944. She was a member of Cottonwood Presbyterian Church.
She worked as a nurse at St. Marks Hospital, Cottonwood Hospital, Shriners Hospital, and Litton Industries. She finished her nursing career at the Federal Building, Salt Lake City, retiring in 1976.
She is survived by her husband, Allen; children, David (Pamela), John (Gerri), Mark (Shauna), grandchildren, Christian (Jenny), Nick, Ashlee, Christine (James); great-grandchild, Joshua; brothers, Wiggo, Walter, Bill; and sister, Marguerite. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chris; and sister, Nan.
Memorial service Mon. Aug 11, 2003, 1:30 p.m. Chapel at St. Joseph's Villa, 451 Bishop Federal Lane (1950 S. 500 E). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your favorite charity.
