"Grandpa"
Ivan passed away at his home in Francis, UT January 23, 2004. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 21, 1910 to Chester Leroy and Bertha Ingraham Buckner. He obtained a BA in education from the University of Santa Barbara. Married Barbara Woon December 23, 1940 in Gilroy, California. He was a high school Industrial Arts teacher for 29 years. Ivan was a very talented and creative person he could make or build most anything from furniture to building houses. He worked with metals, wood, and even did a lot of sewing.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his sons Bruce (Linda) of Francis, UT.; Clifford (Gail) of Ben Lomond, CA.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters.
A Celebration of Ivan's life be held Saturday, January 31, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm., at his home in Francis, Utah (483 East 2200 South). Directors, Garner Funeral Home.
