Utah's OneStop Business Registration earned the runner-up award for the Government in Business category in annual awards presented by the National Association of State Information Systems.
The awards honor state information technology programs that have created "cost-effective, innovative solutions in the operation of state government."
The OSBR allows people to register businesses anytime online. Available at www.business.utah.gov, it enables users to interface with the Internal Revenue Service, the Utah State Tax Commission, Labor Commission, Department of Commerce, Department of Workforce Services and Department of Environmental Quality, and local government jurisdictions that issue business licenses.
