Jen Hajj of Salt Lake City's Tracy Aviary holds a Swainson's hawk as part of the groundbreaking for the new "Destination Argentina!" exhibit Saturday. The $1 million project is the aviary's first in more than 20 years and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2005. The new exhibit will depict the wetlands, salt lakes and backyard habitats of central Argentina. In the fall, hundreds of thousands of shorebirds that rest, nest, breed and feed in Utah are on their way to Argentina. "Destination Argentina!" will be located at the south side of the aviary, where the old turkey yard used to be.
