PROVO — Makau Corp. said Tuesday that co-founder Rick James has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

The company said James will continue to provide expertise developing content as an independent contractor. James had responsibility for training, sales and marketing, but those responsibilities will be overseen by William Chipman, the company's chief executive officer.

Privately held Makau was established in 2002 and provides e-learning products and services.
