Poppenhausen <! >
1930 ~ 2004
December 22, 2004, I lost my beloved mother, Ruth Berndt Poppenhausen. She suffered terribly during her illness the past year and we are grateful her suffering has come to and end.
She was a daughter of Otto and Frieda Berndt. She was born Aug. 3, 1930 in Hamburg, Germany. She immigrated to America in 1953. She worked as a lab technician for Hercules for 25 years.
Married Dieter Poppenhausen in 1968 and was later divorced.
She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving a mission in Germany during 1952-53. She was a talented actress performing in Salt Lake's German Theater for many years. She was active in drama and teaching in The Salt Lake First Ward. Her many talents and service in the ward will be sorely missed.
