I was Christmas shopping in the Logan Borders Bookstore the other day when I was deeply offended by a DVD they are selling. The film is titled "Latter Days" and features actors posing as LDS missionaries on the cover. I thought it might make a good gift for a family member. When I began reading the back cover, my stomach turned. The film is about an LDS missionary who decides to become gay during his mission.

I returned the gifts that I had planned to buy and contacted the manager. I expressed my disgust that Borders would sell such a film and told him I would not be shopping there again until that film is removed from the shelves. He offered a weak apology but seemed unconcerned about losing my business. If the film were about any other religion, such as Islam or Judahism, Borders would refuse to sell the film for fear of backlash. I invite any others who feel as I do to boycott Borders until they remove the film.
