GETTING THERE: Air connections to the Bend-Redmond airport are available through Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. Greyhound has discontinued bus service. There is ground shuttle service from Portland. There is an Avis car rental counter at the Bend-Redmond airport, and most other rental companies have offices at Portland International or in Bend.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Bend-Redmond area and La Pine have ample lodging ranging from modest motels to sumptuous resorts.
