1932 ~ 2004

Donald Arthur Kling, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 29, 2004 of heart failure.

He was born June 3, 1932 to Martin and Clara Hoffman Kling in Keldon, South Dakota.

He attended school in Keldron and Lemmon, South Dakota. He served in the armed forces in Germany where he met and married Rose Lillian Jones. They were later divorced.

He moved to Utah in 1956 and opened a Real Estate office. He was part owner in the Dakota Club and later opened Mr. Lucky Club in 1968.

In 1985 he married his loving wife of 19 years, Lorraine Baker. They enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. They made their home in West Jordan, Utah where the remainder of his leisure time was spent with his cows.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Lorraine (Bruce) Spencer-Mari; step-children: Sharlene (Gary) Behunin, Dean (Samantha) Behunin; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Marvin, Walter, Ray, and Bernard; and special friend, Lyle Hahn. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Roger, Roy, Dale, Harold; and sisters: Coral and Emma.

Services will be Monday, February 2, 2004 at 12 noon in the West Jordan 44th Ward Chapel, 1899 W. 7600 S., West Jordan. Friends may call at the church on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10:15-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery with Military honors by the American Legion.
