"Grandpa"
David M. Wright age 94 died peacefully in his sleep at the home of his son Marvin in Hurricane, Utah, February 7, 2004.
David was born in Garfield, Utah, May 23, 1909 the sixth of 13 children of John W. and Rachel Rider Wright. He married Pearl Pricilla Brouse June 30, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He worked 38 years for Utah Power & Light and 25 years for the Salt Lake Ranger District, Wasatch National Forest.
He leaves behind his sons David W. (Betty) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Marvin J. (Paula) of Hurricane, Utah; 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grand-children, 14 great-great-grand-children and a brother, Charles W. Wright of Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be February 14, 2004 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4670 S. State, Murray, Utah at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary and one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City, Utah.
