Gary Dexter Fisher passed away at his home on Sunday Feb. 15th, 2004 of natural causes.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Feb 21, 2004 at the LDS 12th Ward Building, 951 East 100 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Gary was born July 17, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Dexter Fisher and Mary Cahoon Fisher. He spent his childhood in California and for his adult life he resided in Utah. Gary received an associate degree in accounting from the Institute of Technical Trades in Provo, Utah. Shortly thereafter he worked in the accounting department of First Security Bank for many years.
Gary was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent numerous hours doing genealogy and temple work. He also volunteered his time at the church's cannery.
Surviving Gary are his stepmother Gene Fisher, sister JoAnn (Leonard) Heyl, sister Valerie (DeLoy) Porter, sister Laurel Astor, brother Bret (Carole) Fisher, stepbrother Dick (Jolene) Potter, stepbrother Jim (Shelley) Potter, stepbrother Bobby Potter and numerous nieces and
nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 to assist with funeral expenses. Condolences to the family can be emailed to Garyfisher21504@netzero.com.
