Mable Hogan passed away Monday, March 8, 2004 releasing her from her suffering.
Mable was born June 16, 1919 in Kanesville, Utah to Samuel Peterson and Robina Green Peterson. She was educated in the Ogden area and graduated from Utah State University in home economics.
She married Donald I. Hogan on June 26, 1945 in Louisiana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
She worked in many positions including teacher. She especially enjoyed and contributed much to ZCMI working as a manager when the store opened in Ogden.
Mable was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith and prayers sustained her throughout her life.
During World War II a bridge club was started for friends with husbands gone to war. This club continued even to the present providing many life-long friendships.
Mom was a perfectionist in every thing she did. Sewing was a particular talent. The wonderful mother she was is evident and those qualities have been passed down even to her granddaughters. She was always a beautifully dressed, classy lady. She is loved very much by her family.
Mable is survived by her husband Donald I. Hogan, children Pat (John) Reeve, Paul (Susan) Hogan, Phil (Jayel) Hogan, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11th at 11 a.m. at the Country Hills Ward Chapel, 1401 Country Hills Dr., Ogden, Utah.
Family will meet friends Wednesday, March 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and at the church Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
